Parishioner Guidelines for Attending an Outdoor Mass
Please read these guidelines before attending an outdoor Mass.

  • Location: Since it's starting to get cold outdoors and it's raining more frequently, the Masses will be held inside the church for now.

General Safety Protocols
  • We strongly encourage that St. Agnes Parishioners who are at higher risk of COVID-19 (e.g., those who are older or who have underlying health condition) stay at home.
  • If you have a cough of any sort or if you’re feeling ill, please stay at home.
  • Those attending Mass in person must wear a face mask at all times. Please bring your own face mask and make sure it has been sanitized. You must wear your face mask as soon as you are in the church premises.
  • Please sanitize or wash your hands before and after the Mass. Hand sanitizers will be available at designated locations.
  • Please observe the 6-ft social distancing rule from your arrival, during the Mass and through your departure.
  • Once you are seated, please remain seated and do not move your chair.

Getting to the ISLC Patio
  • In order to minimize the possibility of people just walking in without a reservation and to minimize spaces exposed to people traffic, there will only be one way to enter the ISLC patio–- through the Urban School garage. The ISLC front gate and door (facing Oak St.) will remain locked, as will the side gate between the church and Rectory building (on Masonic Ave.)
  • If you are driving and parking in the garage, you may park at any level, then either take the stairs or elevator to Level 2.
  • If you are walking to the ISLC, please walk a few more steps towards the Urban School garage and use the side door on the left. Then either take the stairs or elevator to Level 2.
  • The code for the garage and side door will be emailed to you. Or, you may call the Parish Office: (415) 487-8560 ext. 224.
  • As you exit the elevator, make an immediate left and take the ramp to the ISLC patio.

During the Mass
  • Please minimize the surfaces you touch.
  • There will be no congregational singing.
  • During the Preparation of the Gifts, we will not be taking the collection. Instead, please drop off your envelopes or donations into the collection basket as you enter or exit the ISLC patio.
  • We will suspend holding hands during the Lord’s Prayer.
  • During the Sign of Peace, we will only gesture to one another without direct contact with the other person.

Receiving Communion
  • Communion will be distributed at the usual place in the Mass.
  • Communion for the Cup is suspended. We will suspend giving communion on the tongue. We will only distribute communion in the hand.
  • Please remain standing in place since the Priest or EM will walk to you. He/She will wear a face mask while distributing communion.
  • Please make sure you are wearing your face mask while communion is being distributed. If you are wearing gloves, please remove them. You cannot receive the host while wearing gloves. Once you receive the host, use one hand to remove your mask and the other hand to consume the host. Then place back your mask.

Elevator Use
  • Only use the garage elevator if you are unable to take the stairs.
  • Only two passengers at a time are allowed in the elevator. Both passengers must stand at opposite corners inside the elevator.

Sign the Informed Consent Form
The Archdiocese of San Francisco is requiring anybody who attends an in-person Mass to fill out an Informed Consent form. You just need to submit this form once, and it will be applicable to all the Masses you attend in-person. Please submit this form before you attend a Mass. Here are your options to fill out the form:
  • Online: Click here to submit an online version of the consent form.
  • Hard Copy: Click here to download a PDF version of the consent form. You can email the filled out form to Marco@SaintAgnesSF.org, or bring it with you when you go to Mass and hand it to one of the ushers.
